Valle Catholic senior Sydni Basler recently signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Mineral Area College, where she plans to study Physical Education. Basler has twice earned all-state recognition after helping the Lady Warriors secure back-to-back Class 1 state final four appearances at the libero position. She has also scored 1,271 points in three all-conference seasons of varsity basketball, and raced for the Lady Warriors’ track and field team last spring. Seated alongside Basler are parents Scott and Dawn Basler. Also pictured (back row, left to right) are Mineral Area head volleyball coach Tim Copeland, Valle Catholic head volleyball coach Nancy Fischer and assistant coach Natalie Grass.
