Wrestling: Central edged out by Whitfield

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Central Rebels traveled to Ste. Genevieve for a tri-dual match on Wednesday, but came back nearly empty-handed as a team. In individual matches only Brandon Lindsey (130) and Justin Russell (215) came up with wrestling wins.

Lindsey won his match against Whitfield by a major decision 14-04, and then also won against Ste. Genevieve by an 8-4 decision. Russell won his Ste. Genevieve match with a fall in 3:14.

Lonnie Horton, Kody Cassidy, Russell, Mike Carolyn, Kenny Moritz, and Jack Hampton all made weight and won by forfeit in their respective weight classes over Whitfield. Central forfeited three matches to Whitfield and five to Ste. Genevieve
