Event at Courthouse Annex on Sept. 11

FARMINGTON – A county-wide 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony will be held in front of the St. Francois County Courthouse Annex on Sept. 11.

The ceremony will start at 5 p.m. It will be held in between the courthouse and annex on Liberty Street in Farmington.

Representatives of various police, fire, and EMS agencies and the courthouse are organizing the ceremony.

The ceremony will begin with first responders and members of the military marching down Liberty Street from A Street. The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem will follow.

The service will include prayer, patriotic songs, and the honoring of military and their families.

Local police and fire departments, veterans groups and members of the military have been asked to attend. The public is encouraged to attend and bring a lawn chair.
