Have a “Habitat Heyday” with this year’s camp offerings
Experience the wonder of nature at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center’s popular kids’ camps, now back with exciting habitat-themed adventures. Immerse yourself in the beauty of southeast Missouri’s diverse habitats while enjoying activities like swimming, canoeing, and exploration.
Camp season begins May 29 – May 30 with two half-day camps designed for grandparents and their grandchildren ages 6-11.
Each day is a separate event, and participants are welcome to sign up for one or both. Topics will be stream and forest exploration.
These camps are designed to be accessible to people with different mobility levels. Instruction and equipment are provided.
Conservation Kids Camps for ages 7-11 are scheduled for June 11-12, June 13-14, June 25-26, July 9-10 and July 11-12.
The Conservation Teen Camp, for ages 12-17, is scheduled for June 27-28.
Kids and Teen Camps are scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Prior to camp, all registrants will receive a welcome packet with full details, including a packing list, itineraries, and safety-related forms.
