Mary Winer

FARMINGTON — Mary Jane Winer of Farmington passed away Sunday, May 24, 2008, at the age of 86 years. She was born February 8, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Hugh and Leona (Lovette) Winer. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, James, George, Gerald, Hugh “Scotty” and Bill Winer, and two sisters, Ann Rion and Leona Winer.

Ms. Winer was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by three nieces, Priscilla (Jerry) Russell of Bellville, IL, and Patricia Cox and Karen Powell, both of Hope, AR, a nephew, Dan (Marsha) Rion of Springfield, IL, three great nieces, five great nephews, close friend and caregiver, DeBorah Spangler, and special friends, Shirley Harrington, and Norman and Nancy Thomas.

The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Father James Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
