Martha DeClue

BONNE TERRE — Martha M. DeClue, 94, of Bonne Terre passed away August 20, 2008 at St. Joe Manor.  She was born July 13, 1914 in Bismarck.  

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Bonne Terre, a charter member of The League of Women Voters, a volunteer and donor to the American Red Cross and the March of Dimes.  She was retired from the position of Director of Volunteer Services at the State Hospital in Farmington.  Previous employment included reporter for the Lead Belt News and the Bonne Terre Register.

Preceded in death by her parents Rev. William and Martha Mabel (Porter) Stewart; husband, Ted DeClue, and son Capt. David Joseph DeClue.

Survived by four daughters, Kate Schejbalof St. Louis, Diane (Mrs. Jim) Williams of Bonne Terre, Donna (Mrs. Damon) Fitzwater of St. Louis, and Martha Sue (Mrs. Ken) Wilke of Bonne Terre, a daughter-in-law Maureen (Sam) Ottenlipps,  13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 5 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre with the Rev Michael Kelpe officiating. Internment in Bonne Terre Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church building fund.
