Eight arrested in meth lab bust

BISMARCK — Eight people were arrested after a meth lab was discovered not far from Bismarck Elementary early Monday afternoon.

The list includes Traci Ann Talley, 44, Jeneine Kirsop, 37, Kenneth Kirsop, 32, Jacinda N. Glore, 28, Sheena D. Wampler, 29, James Marler, 30, Lucas Wampler, 29, and Jeremiah Horton, 31, all of the Bismarck to Irondale area. All were charged with attempted manufacture of meth within 2,000 feet of a school, 10 counts of possession of a chemical with intent to make meth, and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Bond is set at $355,000 for each person.

Sheena and Lucas Wampler are also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon.

According to the probable cause statement, authorities received information that Lucas Wampler was manufacturing meth in his home on Spruce Street. Several officers went to the home shortly after 1 p.m. Monday.

When police arrived Jeneine Kirsop answered the door and quickly shut the door behind her as she stepped outside. The officer at the front door could smell a strong chemical odor consistent with the manufacture of meth.

When Kirsop went back inside, the officer could see several females and children inside. He ordered them to come outside.

Seven children, ages 5 to 13, were inside the home.

While talking to several of the individuals, three men — James Marler, Lucas Wampler and Jeremiah Horton — exited the basement.

Lucas Wampler allowed the officers to search the home. The officers found several chemicals and items used in the manufacture of meth, two active one-pot meth labs, and two inactive one-pot meth labs, finished meth and a modified sawed-off double barrel 20-gauge shotgun.
