The Madison County Soil & Water Conservation District held their 2024 Cooperator’s Dinner on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. They had dinner, door prizes, board election and keynote speakers. Michala Rawson- Boyd from the Farm Service Agency gave a presentation on different types of loans for farmers and landowners. Rachel Settle with the Missouri Department of Conservation gave a presentation and information on prescribed burning. Sarah Rauls with Madison County SWCD gave a presentation on different types of cost share programs that are available to landowners and the history of the SWCD started and the state parks soil and water tax. Richard Lamb was the recipient of the 2024 Cooperator of the year.
