A one-vehicle accident, Friday afternoon at 12:22 p.m., resulted in minor injuries to a Desloge resident.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2025 International Dump Truck, driven by a 51-year-old male from Desloge was traveling on Mo. 47 at Rye Creek Road in Franklin County when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck 2 signs and multiple trees before coming to rest. The driver, who was wearing a safety device, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital, in Potosi, by Washington County EMS.
The vehicle was damaged extensively and was towed from the scene by Buckley Towing.
A New Year’s Day accident sent 5 Farmington residents to the hospital, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
On January 1, at 1:30 p.m., a 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 51-year-old female Farmington resident, was traveling southbound in the right lane of US 67 and attempted to make a left turn onto Blomeier Rd. The Toyota turned into the path of a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 28-year-old female Farmington resident. The front of the Equinox struck the left side of the Toyota.
The driver of the Equinox received minor injuries as did a 32-year-old, male passenger. Neither of them was wearing safety devices. 3 other passengers in the Equinox, 3 juveniles ranging in age from 10 to 0 years were wearing safety devices. One of the juveniles sustained moderate injuries, the other minor injuries. The driver of the Toyota, who was wearing a safety device, also received minor injuries. All the injured were transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by St. Francois County Ambulances.
Both vehicles were listed as extensively damaged. The Equinox was towed from the scene by Marler’s Towing. The Toyota was removed by Boyd’s Towing.
