FARMINGTON – Fredericktown girls basketball has placed itself in a position to achieve a program first after vanquishing another conference nemesis on Thursday night.
The Lady Cats moved into a three-way tie atop the MAAA Large-School standings with one game still to come following a 45-31 triumph at Farmington.
Senior guard P.J. Reutzel continued a stretch of headline performances with 25 points and 10 rebounds, and provided some key separation with three 3-pointers in the third quarter.
Charis Moss added her second, third and fourth triples of the game in the final period to help secure the outcome, and ended with 12 points. Amelia Miller collected eight rebounds.
Fredericktown (9-8, 3-1) outscored the Knights 28-15 in the second half after taking a narrow 17-16 lead into the break, and defeated them for the first time since 2016.
