POTOSI – The MAAA Large-School girls basketball standings finished with a three-way title share on Wednesday after Potosi secured its first conference title since 1992.
Senior guard Aubree Wilson scored a game-high 21 points, and the Lady Trojans beat Ste. Genevieve 50-34 in a contest postponed due to illness earlier in the week.
Potosi (15-3, 4-1) carried a modest 28-21 lead when Wilson beat the halftime buzzer with a pull-up jumper, and drew even with Central and Fredericktown atop the division.
Chloe Rowe added 11 points while Aniston Mapes tallied 10 and Eden Robart tossed in eight for the host Lady Trojans, who led 39-28 after three quarters.
Central received the top seed for the MAAA Tournament in a vote hours later. Potosi, Fredericktown, Arcadia Valley and Farmington complete the top five seeds with first-round byes.
Taylor Beckham totaled 10 points for Ste. Genevieve (6-11, 0-5). Chloe Staffen contributed eight points, and Bri Abt finished with seven.
Farmington 78, Cape Central 43
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Senior forward Madison Mills scored a career-high 37 points, sinking seven 3-pointers, and Farmington routed Cape Central 78-43 on Wednesday night.
Lila Roth added 14 points, and Kate Jenkson contributed nine for the Knights, who roared to a 36-9 advantage at halftime behind stingy defense.
Farmington (11-9) also got seven points each from Ella Scott and Madison Klinkhardt.
Kanidryana Ivy notched 14 of her 16 points in the second half for Cape Central. Brooklynn Moss added 11 while converting 7-of-8 free throws.
Grandview 59, Valley 19
WARE, Mo. – Catherine Wakeland scored 24 points, and Grandview eased past visiting Valley 59-19 on Wednesday night.
Brooke Patterson and Sydney Riddle each netted seven points each, and Grandview (6-11) steadily stretched its 32-15 halftime lead.
Alyssa Warren paced Valley (3-14) with 12 points, all in the first half.
BOYS WRESTLING
Ste. Genevieve 64, Cape Central 15
STE. GENEVIEVE – Drake Meyer returned to action and obtained a fall in just 13 seconds as the Ste. Genevieve boys wrestling team defeated Cape Central 64-15 on Wednesday night.
Owen Drury, Owen Roth, Mason Langeneckert and Drew Merriman also earned pins for the Dragons, who honored their senior roster members.
Unbeaten senior Jacob Schweigert received a forfeit along with Ste. Gen. teammates Micah Scherrer, Noah Willett and Dane Evelsizer.
Cameron Vogt and Karter Worley tallied victories by technical fall.
Cape Central picked up a 15-10 decision by Connor Poole.
Farmington was scheduled to join the teams for a triangular, but withdrew due to widespread illness.

STE. GENEVIEVE – Aila Wolk secured a fall in the opening minute, and the Ste. Genevieve girls celebrated Senior Night with a 51-0 shutout of Cape Central on Wednesday.
Maggie Price pinned her opponent in the second period, and Hailey Wheeler picked up a 6-1 victory as Ste. Genevieve won the only three contested bouts.
Hollyn Zangaro, Hailey Davis, Ragan Picou, Anna Fischer and Aniston Cremer of the Dragons each received wins by forfeit.
Both teams were open at five common weight classes.
