The Fredericktown High School baseball team lost a pair of games against MAAA opponents last week.
April 15, the Cats jumped to a large lead at North County, only to see the Raiders score seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning on the way to a 9-8 victory.
Fredericktown jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first and led 5-1 entering the seventh. Fredericktown padded its lead with three runs, but the Raiders scored seven.
The Cats were held scoreless in the first extra frame, and North County scored a run to win the game.
David Slinkard led the Cats with three of their 12 hits. Easton Wood was 2-5 with a double, and Blake Terry-Brakefield scored two runs. Noah Brubacher drove home two.
Thursday, the Cats lost 6-0 at Central. Wood with two of the Cats three hits. Ryan Sounden added a single.
The Cats have four games this week, including hosting Potosi, Thursday and playing at Kingston, Friday.
