The GFWC Friday Club met on April 17 at the New Providence Baptist Church. President Janet Ward called the meeting to order. Ginny Hogan offered a prayer before the members enjoyed delicious pizza and a variety of cheesecake pie slices. Sasha Starkey and Ginny Hogan were the hostesses this month.
There were eight members in attendance: Linda Hogan, Conita Follis, Mellie Bentinganan, Carolyn Kegley, Sasha Starkey, Janet Ward, Nenita Talaban and Ginny Hogan.
March meeting notes were read by Ginny Hogan. The minutes were approved. The treasurer’s report was given by Carolyn Kegley and was approved.
Correspondence included a thank you letter from the Missouri Girl’s Town Executive Director, Jenny Preiss for a recent Friday Club donation.
Members had a short discussion concerning the upcoming Prince and Princess contest to be held on Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fredericktown High School.
For the remainder of the meeting members worked on filling gift bags for the Prince and Princess contestants and helpers for the event. Members also finalized plans for the event.
Next month’s meeting will be held in May at a local restaurant. The meeting adjourned after the reciting of the club collect.
