Head-on collision claims life
A two-vehicle, head-on collision claimed the life of one of the drivers involved.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2013 Acura TL, driven by a 36-year-old male from Bismarck, was eastbound on Mo. 32 at 11:31 p.m., October 1, east of Egert Rd. in Washington County. As the vehicle approached a curve in the roadway, it crossed the center of the road and struck the front right of a westbound 2008 Honda Ridgeline, driven by a 56-year-old male from Bismarck. As a result of the collision, the Acura traveled off the north road edge of the road and struck several trees, ejecting the driver.
The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:51 p.m. by the Washington County coroner and taken to the Washington County morgue by the Washington County coroner. There was no reported injury to the driver of the Honda by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Both drivers were wearing safety devices.
The Honda Ridgeline was extensively damaged, while the Acura was reported as totaled. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Buckley Towing.

At 5:57 p.m. a 2007 Ford F-150, driven by a 61-year-old female from Mineral Point, was traveling east on Mo. Rte. 32. As it approached a private drive, a 2002 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 35-year-old male from Ste. Genevieve failed to observe the F-150 and pulled out into the path of the oncoming vehicle. The front of the F-150 struck the driver’s side of the Wrangler, which then overturned on its side.
The driver of the Wrangler received moderate injuries and was transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by St. Francois County ambulance. There were no reported injuries to the driver of the F-150 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Both drivers were wearing safety devices.
The Ford F-150 was reported as totaled and removed from the scene by Buckley Towing, while the Wrangler sustained extensive damage and was removed by Marler’s Towing.
A 65-year-old male driver from Bismarck sustained moderate injuries Tuesday, September 30, when the 2016 Western Star 47600 he was driving traveled off the west edge of the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports indicate the accident took place at 11:38 a.m. on Route D near Green Trail Drive, in Washington County.
The driver, who was wearing a safety device, was transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington by St. Francois County ambulance. The vehicle was reported as totaled and removed from the scene by Buckley Towing.
