Farmington boys swim team qualifies for five state events

FARMINGTON – A season of progress for the Farmington boys program has yielded an increased presence at the 2025 MSHSAA Swimming and Diving championships.

In a partnership with neighbor St. Paul, the Knights are preparing for three individual and two relay events as Class 1 preliminary swim heats begin Thursday at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.

Athletes have competed at several meets since September, hoping to rank among the 32 fastest season bests in a respective event to secure state meet inclusion.

Sophomore Elias Van Zee has qualified twice individually while seeded 19th in the 50-meter freestyle and 29th in the 100-meter freestyle sprints.

Senior Will Adams will appear in the 100-meter breaststroke, ranked 22nd, and the 200 medley relay crew heads into action seeded 23rd.

Kaden Johnson and Mason Folk will join Van Zee and Adams for the 400 freestyle relay.
